The more you know about your target market, the more accurate your aim. When you go about your strategic account planning, there are three things to keep in mind that will help you zero in on your target:
- Gather as much information as you can about your target customer. Then you can analyze and utilize it to figure out how to get to the right person with the right approach at the right time.
- Be clear on your sales strategy. Don’t just make a list of “to-do’s”…a strategy is more about focusing on a few critical customer-centric goals and figuring out what specific actions you need to take to get there.
- Accept change as a constant. What has worked in the past may not work in the present. Focus on helping your customer to succeed in a way that makes sense for them. Put them first.
